A yatai located in Nakasu, Fukuoka, on the north side of Haruyoshi Bridge where Kokutai Road and Naka River intersect, on the ocean side. Tempura and shioyaki stall. A man runs the stall alone.
You can choose from a showcase of cod roe, shrimp, conger eel, squid, skewers, etc., and have them tempura-ed or grilled. The blackened oil on the ceiling has a taste of its own.
A sardine belly stuffed with mentaiko cod roe and grilled. The sardines are sufficiently fatty so that the spiciness of the cod roe is usually neutralized, but the cod roe here is spicy enough.

Pork loin is thin and the flavor spreads in the mouth when chewed. The kiss has a light flavor. The conger eel has a wild taste. Overall, I am glad that the tempura is lightly oiled and edible.
